About the Project
V54 is a three-storey French architecture style house which is confirmed as Grade three Historic Building by the Antiquities Advisory Board and was generously loaned to Po Leung Kuk. After the restoration, "Young Artist in Residence @V54" is launched in 2016.
I am glad that I get the chance to take part in this programme. I am living in V54 for 4 weeks, from 26 July to 23 August. Other young artists and I are required to create one individual artwork about this community and culture. And we are also required to organise an exhibition and held the opening during the last week of our staying.
Personal goals
I am excited to be able to explore around the neighbourhood of Happy Valley and to experience a more independent lifestyle. Besides that, I also wish to be able to try more different medium and maybe also try to create abstract works.
