After spending a few days in V54, I sometimes stay up late to watch the sun rise. I enjoyed the quietness and calmness in the early mornings as I watch the city slowly lights up and the street lights dim, seeing the darkness being replaced by the cool sunshine. This particular scenery makes me thinks of the poems of Mary Oliver.

Mary Oliver is an American poet, her works are inspired by the nature. She spent tremendous time in wild nature in solitude. We as readers could see the vivid imageries of her world, surrounded by rivers, woods, lakes and the shores. Her poems provide a new perspective on gratitude, giving a never-before way to see the world especially for someone who lives in the city.

Ideas development for my work:
As I feel more touched by the morning sceneries then the culture or community itself in Happy Valley.
I Go Down To The Shore
I go down to the shore in the morning
and depending on the hour the waves
are rolling in or moving out,
and I say, oh, I am miserable,
what shall—
what should I do? And the sea says
in its lovely voice:
Excuse me, I have work to do.”
