Biography

Kwong Yan Tung is based in Hong Kong. She primarily focuses on painting and image making, aims to find ways to produce works of art as a form of constant reflection of life experiences. She intends to explore the relationships between oneself and the external environment. She took part in group exhibitions held in Mist Gallery and Egar in 2021. Kwong Yan Tung assisted in the Agnes Tsang’s Solo Exhbition in the Hong Kong City Hall and Sha Tin Town Hall. She participated in the Young Artist in Residence@V54 progremme co-hosted by the Po Leung Kuk and Hong Kong Design Institute, the set of work was exhibited in both V54 and HKDI Gallery.

江欣瞳。她主要專注於繪畫和圖像製作，以藝術創作作為一種反思生活經驗的行徑。她以繪畫作為渠道探索物我的關係，呈現自我心理投射的過程。她於2021年參加了在Mist Gallery和Egar舉辦的群展。江欣瞳在香港大會堂和沙田大會堂協助曾嬿安的個人巡迴展覽。曾參加保良局與香港知專設計學院合辦的青年藝術家駐地@V54計劃，該組作品於V54及HKDI畫廊展出。

Artist Statement

I see the painting process as a form of reflection of life experiences. I collected observations of nature and the city, fragmented pieces of movement, sound, and form. How they are intertwined and reinvented with personal and unconscious projection of oneself. I am fascinated by traces of beings and their relationships with existence and happenings. How one’s intuition vibrates and reacts with their surroundings, vice versa, how the external environments vibrate and communicate with us. This process as the unstoppable and constant projection between the mind and the tangibles. At the same time, the art making process is a similar experience.

我把繪畫過程看作是對生活經歷的一種反映。我日常收集對自然和城市的觀察，動力、聲音和形式的碎片。它們如何與個人和無意識的自我投射相互交織和重塑。我對存在的痕跡及其與存在和事件的關係著迷。一個人的直覺如何振動並與周圍環境發生反應，反之亦然，外部環境如何振動並與我們交流。這個過程是思想和有形物之間不可阻擋且持續不斷的投射。同時，藝術創作過程也是類似的體驗。
